Karlovac 2021 No Borders traveling exhibition & workshop

Sharing pictures from 11 September in Karlovac with connecting glass, ceramics and tea with members of Živi Atelje DK, the Women to Women collective and people of Karlovac.

Thanks to our partners Denis and the KA-Matrix team (Tanja, Matea and Damien), to Ovca for the insights and helping us dig out some Karlovac clay.

Thank you for all the enthusiasm and care of the participants, organizers, drivers, tea masters Tyhe, Uglješa, and Saša with the assistance of Safa, Arpi, Melike, Fatma, Madina, and the workshop participants, to Morana of Paviljon Katzler for finding our Karlovac tour guide Maja from Bastion – Udruga turističkih vodiča Karlovačke županije, and to Luka for the architecture museum tour with Društvo arhitekata, građevinara i geodata Karlovac. From finding wild clay, transforming it into a cup from which we could enjoy the tea, we came full circle.

The project, “No Borders: Women to Women, conversation around ceramics and tea” is realised through the Clubture network program (CTHR) with donations from the Ministry of Culture, Foundation Kultura Nova, the City of Zagreb, and the National Foundation for Civil Society Development through their project Knowledge Hubs. The ceramic and tea trainings for the Women to Women collective were made possible by the French Embassy in Croatia (Ambassade de France en Croatie) and the Center for Peace Studies (Centar za mirovne studije) through co-financing from the European Union – the BRIDGES project. Next destination: Pakrac in November!
