We are happy to announce that we are embarking on a new project in 2024 called “Circles of Care, Art and Community” made possible through the capacity-building and funding by Minorities, Accountability, Rights, Independence, Organisational Development (MARIO).
The project will enable a team from Živi Atelje DK to proactively reach-out to women who are trying to make a home in Croatia, mostly recent arrivals, to find out how we can better be of support, while also being enriched by their knowledge and experience, especially in the arts, as part of the Women to Women collective. The project will also enable us to continue our weekly gatherings and provide public events including a cooking course, an exhibition, and a meeting with Zagreb city public officials. When appropriate, we can also connect them to other initiatives and civil society organizations who might be better able to respond to specific needs.
The aims of Minority Rights Group (MRG) are: To secure the rights of ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities, and indigenous peoples and to improve cooperation and understanding between communities.
The MARIO project is funded by the European Union.
